TECHNIQUES

Breathing Reset Cues
Purpose:
Reduce physical tension and regain focus between throws, especially after misses.
Instructions:
After each throw (or between visits if needed), consciously do:
Inhale through nose for 3 seconds.
Exhale slowly through mouth for 3–4 seconds.
While exhaling, say a short mental cue (e.g., “Smooth,” “Reset,” or “One dart at a time”).
Resume pre-throw routine without rushing.
Beginner: Remembers reset breath after 50% of poor throws.
Intermediate: Uses reset consistently in practice and casual games.
Advanced: Automatically triggers reset after high-pressure misses in competition.
Practice Routine:
5 minutes daily warm-up with breathing + throw sequence (no scoring).
During practice matches, player must do reset after every non-scoring dart — if they forget, opponent gets an extra turn (keeps accountability high).
