KEY CONCEPTS

Target Zones (T20, T19, Bullseye) and Their Purpose

Purpose: Understand high-value scoring areas and when to use them strategically.

Teaching Breakdown:

T20 (Triple 20)

  • Highest single scoring shot: 60 points.

  • Primary target for maximizing scoring potential.

  • Used heavily in early legs to build strong scores fast.

T19 (Triple 19)

Alternate high scorer: 57 points.

Used as a backup when T20 is blocked or during specific checkouts.

T18 (Triple 18)

  • Alternate high scorer: 57 points.

  • Used as a backup when T20 is blocked or during specific checkouts.

T17 (Triple 17)

Alternate high scorer: 57 points.

Used as a backup when T20 is blocked or during specific checkouts.

Bullseye (25 & 50)

  • Inner Bull: 50 points (central, high-pressure target).

  • Outer Bull: 25 points (useful for setup shots).

  • Often used for big finishes or when forced by score position.

Strategic Understanding:

  • Why T20 First? Most efficient points-per-dart with easiest visual alignment.

  • When to Switch to T19?

  • When T20 bed is blocked by previous darts or you’re on a checkout path requiring 19s.

Bullseye in Competition: High risk but game-changing under pressure; requires refined muscle memory.
