Adjustments

Objective: Keep training fresh, prevent stagnation, and break through performance plateaus.

Coach Delivery Method:

1. Identify a Plateau

No visible improvement in 2–3 evaluation cycles.

Player reports “same old results” despite effort.

2. Plan Adjustments Every 4–6 Weeks

Change training drills (e.g., switch from high-volume repetition to game-scenario drills).

Alter match formats (shorter sets for intensity, longer for endurance).

Introduce new mental challenges (e.g., distraction drills, time-pressure games).
3. Communicate Changes

Explain the reason: “We’re making this change to challenge your focus in a different way.”

Ensure player buys into the adjustment, not resist it.

4. Monitor Results

Track whether the change sparks new improvement in next evaluation cycle.
