Players are eliminated after one loss (single-elimination) or two (double-elimination).
Winner advances, loser exits (or drops to a losers' bracket in double-elim).
DETAILS :
Advantages Faster progression to a winner. High drama and intensity in every match. Disadvantages One poor performance ends the tournament for a player. Less game time for those eliminated early.
