Feedback Loop

(Tracking Shot Percentages, Pressure Performance, Consistency Rates)

Purpose:
To identify strengths, weaknesses, and pressure habits so training can be adjusted for maximum improvement.

Coach Delivery Method:

Explain the metrics — players should know what “consistency rate” means and why it matters.

After each drill, have players record their numbers immediately, not later.

Highlight trends rather than single results — e.g., “Your D20 percentage has risen 5% over 3 weeks” rather than focusing only on yesterday’s score.

Use pressure tests — e.g., give players one dart to win or simulate an audience.
Common Pitfalls to Avoid:

Giving too much raw data without interpretation — players can get overwhelmed.

Focusing on low scores in a demotivating way — balance critique with encouragement.

Measuring inconsistently — always use the same drill format when tracking.

Progress Measurement:

Compare month-to-month percentage gains.

Track “clutch” performance under simulated pressure separately from practice stats.

Use visual charts so improvement is tangible.
